The invention discloses a computer software safety protection method comprising the steps of (1) setting a protected route table in a computer, and disposing operable system software into the route table; (2) setting an automatic operation cipher in the operable system software, and adding an automatically recognized server; (3) during the computer operation process, once an unrecognized file or software is detected, automatically preventing operation of the computer, and providing a dialog box for prompt; (4) detecting whether the detected file or software is attacked by virus through the set operation cipher; (5) if the virus is not present, normally operating and using the computer; and (6) if the virus is present, prohibiting operation, immediately tracking the source and address of the virus, and thoroughly removing the virus. Virus attack can be effectively detected, virus propagation can be controlled, and therefore software and file contents in the computer are protected, and application is convenient and safe.
