The method comprises the steps that a WiFi AP (Access Point) reads own state and confirms that a current state is a public or private state; the WiFi AP sends WiFi beacons through adoption of different periods according to different own states; a mobile terminal continuously detects the period of the surrounding WiFi beacons through utilization of Bluetooth low energy received signal strength indication; and the mobile terminal decides whether to wake up a WiFi network interface card to access WiFi or not according to the detected beacon period. According to the method, the mobile terminal wakes up the WiFi NIC (Network Interface Card) to access the WiFi when the accessible WiFi AP is detected, so the energy consumption due to continuous working of the WiFi NIC in a traditional access method is greatly reduced.
