The monitoring system comprises a hazardous gas monitoring sensor, an air density monitoring sensor, a processor and a reminding module, wherein the hazardous gas monitoring sensor is used for monitoring the hazardous gas under the environment and acquiring an air quality parameter; the air density monitoring sensor is used for monitoring the particle density in air and acquiring an air dust density parameter; the processor is used for comparing the air quality parameter with a preset air quality threshold value and sending a first reminding instruction to the reminding module if the air quality parameter is more than or equal to the air quality threshold value; the processor is also used for comparing the air dust density parameter with a preset air density threshold value and sending a second reminding instruction to the reminding module if the air dust density parameter is more than or equal to the preset air density threshold value; the reminding module is used for alarming according to the first reminding instruction and/or the second reminding instruction.
