Abstract

The invention relates to a detection device. The detection device comprises a detecting port, a leakage port, an oscillating circuit and a detecting circuit. The detecting port is configured to be coupled to an object in a pluggable manner. The leakage port is electrically coupled to a ground loop. The oscillating circuit electrically coupled to the detecting port and the leakage port respectively is used for generating an oscillation signal and transferring the charge of an object to the leakage port when the detecting port is coupled to the object. The detecting circuit determines whether the detecting port is coupled to the object based on an oscillation characteristic of the oscillation signal so as to generate a determination result. According to the invention, when whether one detecting port is coupled to an object is detected, the charge of the object is transferred to the leakage port by the oscillating circuit.
