Abstract

The invention provides methods for producing a traffic signal soft cable by utilizing a thermoplastic elastomer and relates to the technical field of production of wires and cables. The invention provides the two methods, wherein the method 1 comprises the steps of firstly granulating and then extruding; the method II comprises the step of directly extruding. Each of the two methods adopts the thermoplastic elastomer, linear low-density polyethylene, a halogen-free flame retardant, a lubricating agent, a compound antioxidant, anti-aging agent, a coupling agent and a sensitized cross-linking agent as insulating sheath raw materials; in addition, a semi-finished product is irradiated. The two methods do not pollute the environment in the production, storage and transportation processes, areharmless to a human body and cannot produce harmful gas; therefore, the traffic signal soft cable is a green and environmentally-friendly product. Through the two methods provided by the invention, the cable has good flame retardance, mechanical property, bending resistance, insulation property, heat resistance, aging resistance and the like and can meet the power standard demands.
