The fabric finishing agent is composed of, by weight, 10 to 20 parts of 1,2,3,4-butanetetracarboxylic acid, 3 to 5 parts of ammonium citrate, 3 to 5 parts of sodium hexametaphosphate, 5 to 7 parts of diatomite, 3 to 5 parts of aspartic acid, 3 to 5 parts of lignosulfonic acid, 3 to 5 parts of malic acid, 5 to 7 parts of a plant essence, 5 to 10 parts of hydroxymethyl cellulose, 10 to 15 parts of amino silicon oil, and 20 to 30 parts of deionized water. Finishing of fabric with the fabric finishing agent is capable of providing fabric with excellent shape-memory performance and launderability; no free formaldehyde is detected; crease and shrink resistance, stiff and smooth appearance, excellent and soft handfeel, washing resistance, and wear resistance are achieved; yellowing is not caused at high temperature; and discoloration is not caused.
