Abstract

The invention discloses a test load, a generator load test device and a load test method. The test load comprises at least one fixed resistor (11), a magnetic control reactor (12) for providing a linear regulation load, and a power source (13) for providing power for the magnetic control reactor (12), wherein the fixed resistor is connected in series with the magnetic control reactor, and the magnetic control reactor is connected with the power source. For the test load, on one hand, by selecting the number of fixed resistors, fast and relatively large range of impedance adjustment is realized, on the other hand, impedance provided by the magnetic control reactor is adjusted to realize linear small-range impedance adjustment, so not only can linear regulation impedance is provided by the test load for the generator load test, linear active power regulation requirements of a part of generator load tests are satisfied, but also changing a conduction angle of a generator output current isnot needed, increase of a harmonic wave component of the current is avoided, and damage to a to-be-detected motor is reduced.
