Abstract

The invention discloses a testing device and method for operation resistance of a rail train. The testing device includes a first hook, a force measurement part and a second hook. The first hook can be connected with a traction train. The second hook can be connected to a to-be-detected train. The force measurement part includes a force measurement cylinder and a plurality of strain sensors arranged on the peripheral wall of the force measurement cylinder. Two ends of the force measurement cylinder are connected with the first hook and the second hook respectively. The testing device also includes a data processing part in signal connection with the strain sensors and capable of receiving strain values measured by the strain sensors so as to calculate the operation resistance. According tothe invention, the force measurement part adopts a combined structure composed of the force measurement cylinder and the strain sensors, the wall thickness of the force measurement cylinder is comparatively small and thus the strain sensibility is improved, so that low speed operation resistance of the rail train can be acquired more accurately.
