Abstract

The invention discloses a bandwidth self adapting method in the transmission of a power line carrier communication system. The method comprises the following steps: a transmitter adopts a system specified frequency band when transmitting a frame preamble, a frame control word and a frame load, and meanwhile adds frame load frequency band information in the frame control word to identify the frequency band used by the frame load; and a receiver only demodulates the common subcarrier parts of all available frequency bands when receiving the frame control word so as to demodulate the frame control word, then extracts the frame load frequency band information in the frame control word to determine and demodulate the frequency band occupied by the frame load. The bandwidth self adapting methodhas the characteristics of small system overhead and fast processing speed, and avoids the problem of restarting the protocol stack for switching the frequency band in the standard.
