Abstract

The invention discloses a space object detection and tracking method based on a spaceborne image sequence, and the method comprises the following steps: (1), carrying out the background estimation ofa space-based image sequence through employing a two-dimensional minimum mean square filter, and taking an obtained residual error image as an initial background inhibition image; (2), generating a dynamic threshold value through the combination of local diversity factor measurement and morphological cap operation, wherein the dynamic threshold value is used for filtering the residual error background clutter again and enhancing a target; (3), employing a connected domain segmentation method, and filtering an inherent noise region of a detector; (4), removing isolated noise points through themotion characteristics of a space target and a multi-frame correlated method. A processing result of the method for a real space-based image sequence indicates that the method can improve the signal to clutter ratio by about 45 times, can achieve the effective detection of a weak and small target, is good in performance, and provides technological support for the space-based optical remote sensing.
