Benefits of technology

This patented describes an approach called coded based wireless networks (CW). These systems use compression techniques to compress videos into smaller sizes than traditional methods like storing them locally at one location or transmitting it over long distances through communication channels. By doing these things, CWD improves efficiency and reduces bandwidth usage while also reducing delays caused during uploading/downloading operations.

Problems solved by technology

This patented technical problem addressed in this patents relates to reducing delays caused by accessing frequently requested or important web pages due to heavy usage of mobile networks like Wireless LANs. Specifically, traditional methods involve transmitting all available data over long distances before being served up again, which results in wasted resources compared to more efficient ways of utilizing radio spectrum capacity without sacrificially increasing signal interference levels. Therefore, proposals aimed towards developing better techniques for efficiently handling high demand connections while minimising impact upon other devices' ability to receive signals.

Embodiment Construction

[0035] The technical solution of the present invention will be further described below in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.

[0036] The present invention focuses on how to deploy caching facilities in existing wireless heterogeneous networks under limited budget, and jointly considers the placement of popular video file sets and the deployment of caching facilities. Studies have shown that the popularity distribution of popular video file sets is relatively stable in a long period of time. Under such a premise, a reasonable caching facility deployment scheme can enable a wireless heterogeneous network to maintain good performance for a long time. The present invention proposes a scheme for placing video files after encoding, and then converts the problem of how to deploy cache facilities under the placement scheme into an optimization problem. The goal of this problem is to minimize the overhead of the backhaul link, and jointly consider factors such as the deploym...

Abstract

The invention discloses a coding-based wireless heterogeneous network video caching facility deployment method. The coding-based wireless heterogeneous network video caching facility deployment methodcomprises the steps of: (1), constructing a network topology and a user group, and calculating the weight of the user group; (2), constructing a popularity distribution model of a popular video fileset; (3), establishing a minimum backhaul link data transmission overhead target function, and constructing an optimal model; (4), solving an optimization problem, so that a caching facility deployment scheme and a file placing scheme are obtained; and (5), periodically updating and caching the video file set, coding a file by using random linear network coding, and performing file blocking placement according to the file placing scheme. The invention provides the method for effectively performing video caching facility deployment in the wireless network; therefore, the flow in a backhaul linkin the network is effectively reduced; and the performance of the whole wireless network is improved.
