Abstract

The invention discloses a device and method for diagnosing time-space evolution of a hypersonic rarefied flow field based on pulse discharge. The device comprises a pulse trigger, a pulse power source, an energy storage capacitor, a current-limiting resistor, a needle-shaped discharging electrode, a pulse sequence controller, an ICCD camera and a controller. Through the device and the method, a non-contact optical method is used for showing the fine structure and the continuous time evolution process of the hypersonic rarefied flow field; a needle-needle electrode is used for carrying out pulse discharge; on the one hand, linear light-emitting flow column is used for displaying local section or flow lines of the flow field, and the space resolution of the flow field diagnosis is improved;on the other hand, the flow field instantaneous structure can be obtained on micro-nano second scale, instantaneous images obtained under different pulse times are used for showing the time evolutionprocess of the flow field, and the extremely high flow field diagnosis time resolution is obtained.
