The method comprises the following steps: obtaining to-be-processed images comprising face images; obtaining the definition of each face image in each to-be-processed image; obtaining a preset part value of each face image in each to-be-processed image, wherein the preset part value is a numerical value for expressing the size of a preset part of the face image; and selecting an image for processing from the to-be-processed images according to the definition and the preset part value ofeach face image in each to-be-processed image. By adoption of the embodiment, the flexibility of a terminal to select the image for processing from the to-be-processed images can be improved.
