Abstract

The present disclosure provides a molding machine and a method of molding a part. The molding machine includes a first mold half and two or more extruders associated with the first mold half, each of the two or more extruders comprising a barrel, an extrusion screw within the barrel, and a nozzle in sealing engagement with the first mold half, wherein each of the two or more extruders is independently controlled to rotate the extrusion screw in a first direction to induce material flow, and once the target pressure for the corresponding extruder is reached, to rotate the extruder in a second direction opposite to the first direction Squeeze the screw to stop material flow.
