Example Embodiment

[0031] The present invention will be further described in detail below in conjunction with the drawings.

[0032] figure 1 It is a flowchart of the present invention, and the specific steps are as follows:

[0033] (1) Preprocess the WRF data related to the cloud and use the particle system for preliminary modeling

[0034] First obtain the cloud-related data parameters in WRF (meteorological data), mainly including: cloud, ice, rain, snow, hail and other water vapor mass ratios, use these mass ratios and cloud absorption characteristics of light to calculate the extinction of each particle Coefficient, and calculate the weighted sum of these extinction coefficients to obtain the extinction coefficient at the grid point. Then according to the extinction coefficient value and the threshold value, it is judged whether the grid point contains cloud.

[0035] According to the characteristics of WRF data, a particle system is used to model the data. Each particle contains: particle posit...

Abstract

The invention discloses a three-dimensional cloud simulation method based on adaptive far field grids. The method comprises steps of firstly, preprocessing WRF data related to cloud, and carrying outpreliminary modeling by use of a particle system; then, using a sliding method, through particle concentration, acquiring area-of-interest of a modeling space; adaptively generating an optimal far-field grid structure and applying the far-field grid structure into a simulation space; and finally, keeping particles on far-field grid lines, thereby achieving three-dimensional cloud chart drawing. According to the invention, based on the WRF weather data, modeling is performed; by combining the adaptive far-field grid structure, rendering efficiency of the cloud chart is improved; a three-dimensional cloud chart is drawn and a three-dimensional cloud scene in the weather data is vividly displayed; and the generated cloud chart has more physical meanings.

Description

technical field [0001] The invention belongs to the fields of computer graphics modeling and simulation and meteorology, and in particular relates to a three-dimensional cloud simulation method based on an adaptive far-field grid. Background technique [0002] Clouds are an important part of the natural landscape and an indispensable element in the sky. Due to the cloud's complex structure, changing dynamic characteristics and special lighting effects, cloud simulation has become a research hotspot and research difficulty in the fields of computer graphics and meteorology. [0003] With the continuous development and improvement of computer simulation technology, more and more cloud simulation methods have been proposed, and the generated cloud images are gradually becoming more authentic and realistic. In recent years, simulation methods based on real meteorological data have received more and more attention and become a new direction. The clouds drawn by these methods co...
