Abstract

The present invention refers to a method of operating a laundry drying machine and a laundry drying machine. The laundry drying machine comprises: a control unit, a laundry treatment chamber, a process air circuit and a heat pump system. The method comprises the following steps: - driving the compressor by means of the control unit according to a first driving sequence in a first portion of the drying cycle; - driving the compressor by means of the control unit according to a second driving sequence in a second portion of the drying cycle; characterized in that the second driving sequence provides for driving the compressor intermittently between a lower level of energy and an upper level of energy wherein the lower and upper level of energy and a condition for ending the second driving sequence are defined depending on one or more parameters of the following first list: - laundry load amount; - moisture content of laundry load; - temperature of laundry load; - temperature of the process air; - temperature and / or humidity of the environment where the laundry drying machine is placed; - laundry treatment program selected by a user; - laundry treatment process or drying process time;- a preset value of energy consumption.
