The method herein includes: determining parameters that affect shield cutterhead torque; determining dimensionless quantity and dimensionless cutterhead torque of a shield tunneling process according to the parameters; using LASSO (least absolute shrinkage and selection operator) algorithm to acquire coefficient recognition results of the dimensionless quantity according to the dimensionless quantity; multiplying the dimensionless quantity by the coefficient recognition results of the dimensionless quantity to obtain a shield cutterhead torque calculating model; determining shield cutterhead torque according to the cutterhead torque calculating model. The method or system herein enables the cutterhead torqueof the shield equipment tunneling process to be calculated quickly and accurately.
