Abstract

The invention belongs to the technical field of common signal transmission, and particularly relates to an omnidirectional beamforming design method based on complementary sequences under a uniform rectangular array. The invention mainly aims to solve the problem of beamforming design of cell-level full coverage of common signal downlink transmission. The invention provides two omnidirectional beamforming design schemes for a large scale antenna base station equipped with the uniform rectangular array, wherein one is based on a complementary sequence set, and the other is based on a fully complementary code. Both schemes can achieve a fully smooth beam pattern in various directions, and have excellent features of low complexity and closed-form solutions. Moreover, the most code words of the complementary sequence set and the fully complementary code have constant model characteristics, so that the entire beamforming scheme can be efficiently implemented using only analog domain beamforming architectures, thereby effectively improving hardware efficiency.
