The invention discloses a network monitoring system based on a safe campus. The system comprises a front end device, a management server and a streaming media server. The front end device comprises aplurality of voice control switches, a plurality of cameras 1, a plurality of cameras 2 and a plurality of recorders, voice control switch wires are connected with the cameras 1 and the recorders 2, the management server wire is connected with a storage server and the streaming media server, the streaming media server is in signal connection with a user terminal, a streaming media server wire is connected with a control chamber, and the control chamber comprises a plurality of monitoring displays, a plurality of managers and a sound. The network monitoring system is ingenious in design and simple in operation and can achieve supervision of students on campus, the voice control switches being nearest to a beating event control the cameras 1 and the recorders to turn on when there is a person calling out or there is a beating event, wherein signals received by the cameras 1 and the recorders are rapidly pushed to the control chamber, and managers in the control chamber immediately identify, observe and monitor the display and the sound to facilitate making of corresponding determination.
