The reflection-transmission integrated electromagnetic coding meta-material is composed of a meta-material unit with multi-layer stack structure; the meta-material unit is formed by alternately arranging five layers of metal and four layers of medium; the specific structuredesign enables the meta-material unit to possess anisotropy and asymmetrical characteristic, and the unit can present different transmission and reflection phases under the irradiation of x and y-polarized electromagnetic waves from different incidence directions, thereby respectively and independently controlling reflection and transmission wavefront to realize the full-space regulation on the electromagnetic wave; the transmission wavefront is regulated when the meta-material is worked in the transmission mode under the irradiation of the x-polarized incidence wave along the +/- z direction; and the meta-material is worked at the reflection mode under the irradiation of the y-polarized incidence wave along the +/- z direction, thereby independently controlling the reflection wavefront at two sides. By changing the polarization and direction of the incidence wave, one coding meta-material can be used for realizing three different functions, such as beam deflection, diffuse scatteringand vortex wave generation.
