The invention discloses an elevator safety marker positioning method and system based on a visual word band. The elevator safety marker positioning method comprises the following steps that S1, a marker is arranged on an elevator door; S2, real-time image data in an elevator car are acquired at an image acquisition visual angle that can completely cover the area of the elevator door; S3, data sentfrom sensors are acquired, and the speed value is obtained through calculation; S4, the specific current position of the safety marker is determined when the elevator moves (the elevator door is closed) according to image data transmitted based on video acquisition and a signal which indicates whether the elevator moves or not and is transmitted from an elevator speed acquisition unit; and S5, the corresponding position of the safety marker in a monitoring image is extracted according to specific coordinate information transmitted from a safety marker detection unit so as to be used as inputinformation for subsequent analysis of the door motion state.
