Abstract

The invention discloses an adjustment device of a sampling phase and an adjustment method thereof. The adjustment device of the sampling phase includes a feedback adder, an adaptive equalization unit,a time pulse data recovery circuit, a data slicer, an error slicer, a sampling calculation unit and an enabling circuit. The adjustment method comprises the following steps: receiving a superimposedsignal from the feedback adder by the data slicer and the error slicer, and respectively generating a data signal and an error signal; respectively providing a feedback equalization signal by the adaptive equalization unit to the feedback adder and providing a reference signal to the error slicer; generating a sampling adjustment signal by the sampling calculation unit according to the data signaland the error signal; using the time pulse data recovery circuit to output and adjust a time pulse signal according to the sampling adjustment signal and the data signal; and alternately enabling theadaptive equalization unit and the sampling calculation unit by the enabling circuit, automatically adjusting the optimal data sampling phase, and thus improving a bit error rate (BER).
