The invention discloses a distributed video abstraction processing system which comprises a page interaction module used for obtaining operation data of a user and initiating a video abstraction taskaccording to the operation data; and a background analysis management module used for decomposing the video abstract task into a plurality of sub-tasks according to the video abstract task initiated by the page interaction module, and allocating the plurality of sub-tasks to a plurality of analysis nodes for analysis. After all the analysis nodes complete analysis of all the sub-tasks, the analysis results of the sub-tasks are combined into the analysis result of the video abstract task, and then the analysis result of the video abstract task is stored in a result index file and an analysis result data file. According to the invention, the background analysis management module decomposes the video abstract task into a plurality of sub-tasks, and then distributes the sub-tasks to the plurality of analysis nodes for analysis, so that the problem of low processing efficiency of the current video abstract system is solved.
