Abstract

Provided is a fluid-filled vibration-damping device having a novel structure, the fluid-filled vibration-damping device being capable of achieving enhanced vibration-damping performance using a simpleand compact structure. This fluid-filled vibration-damping device 10 is configured such that: a pressure-receiving chamber 70 filled with a noncompressible fluid and a balance chamber 72 are in communication with each other through an orifice passage 74; and the fluid-filled vibration-damping device 10 is provided with a relief mechanism 62 which, owing to the effect of negative pressure generated in the pressure-receiving chamber 70 by the input of an impact load, opens a short-circuit passage 77 to connect the pressure-receiving chamber 70 to the balance chamber 72, thereby preventing cavitation. The short-circuit passage 77 portion of the relief mechanism 62 is provided with a leakage passage 78 which, even in a state in which the short-circuit passage 77 is not open, maintains the communication between the pressure-receiving chamber 70 and the balance chamber 72 through a passage cross-section smaller than that of the orifice passage 74.
