Embodiment Construction

[0010] The following will combine Figure 1 to Figure 4 Exemplary embodiments of a luminescent glass structure 20 and a method 100 for forming a luminescent glass structure of the present invention are described.

[0011] The light emitting glass structure 20 includes a first substrate 22 , a first electrode layer 24 , an interposer layer 26 and a second electrode layer 28 . Interposer 26 includes a layer of emissive material 30 and a dielectric layer 32 . According to the method 100 for forming a luminescent glass material, the first electrode layer 24 is formed on the first substrate 22 through step 110 , and at the same time, the interposer 26 is formed on the first electrode layer 24 through step 112 . In an example where the interposer 26 is formed on the first electrode layer 24, the luminescent material 30 is first formed on the first electrode layer 24, and then the dielectric layer 32 is formed on the luminescent material 30, and the luminescent material 30 is dispos...

Abstract

The invention discloses a luminescent glass structure and a forming method thereof. The luminescent glass structure comprises a first substrate, a first electrode layer formed on the first substrate, and a first electrode layer formed on the first electrode layer. The interposer and a second electrode layer are formed on a second substrate to be interposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The interposer includes a layer of luminescent material and a dielectric layer formed along the luminescent material, and the first electrode layer and the second electrode layer are used to provide electrical connections for the luminescent glass structure.

Description

technical field [0001] The present invention generally relates to a luminescent glass structure and a method of forming the same. Background technique [0002] Building owners, architects and passers-by have long been drawn not only to the lighting of building facades and the brilliance they create, but also to the fact that lighting communicates, draws attention and sends positive messages. Buildings are illuminated in different ways, either through opaque or glass surfaces. However, lighting a glass surface is much more difficult than an opaque surface. [0003] Glass surfaces are often illuminated using third-party light sources, either using light-emitting diode (LED) bulbs, or fixtures using other traditional lighting mediums. In most cases, glass and lamps operate as two different functional elements, each performing its own function, with high sunk costs. Combining glass and luminaires into a single luminescent glass medium thus offers cost advantages and the abili...
