Abstract

The invention provides a transport container buffer and a production method thereof. The buffer comprises: a buffer body (1) made from an aluminum foam material, and the buffer body (1) comprises twohollow cylinders closed at one ends and respectively sleeving both ends of a transport container (2); and a fixing assembly (3) used for fixing the buffer body (1) to the transport container (2). Thealuminum foam has the advantages of unique mechanical properties, excellent energy absorption property, and basically same performances in all directions, and is suitable for the buffer for the radioactive substance transport container. The aluminum foam is selected as the preparation material for the buffer to solve the problem of limited wood resources strictly meeting density requirements, usedas the buffer in the prior art.
