An embodiment of the invention discloses a general evaluation method and a general evaluation device for a heterogeneous chip. A specific implementation manner of the general evaluation method comprises the steps of: calling a preset driver loading script; identifying identification information of the heterogeneous chip; loading a driver and a software development environment adapted to the identification information, wherein the driver and the software development environment are pre-stored in a server, and the server further stores correspondence information between the identification information and the driver and the software development environment; and loading a test tool, and determining output delay time or throughput of the heterogeneous chip based on preset parameters and a preset algorithm. The general evaluation method realizes the effect of saving operation time when the server evaluates the heterogeneous chip.
