The method comprises the steps that 1 an electronic identifier is arranged on a facility, and a database is established on a server according to the relevant information of the facility and the electronic identifier; 2 the mobile terminal requests the relevant information of the to-be-checked facility to the server, and the server returns corresponding relevant information; 3 according to the returned relevant information, the location area where the to-be-checked facility is located is acquired through a positioning system; 4 the electronic identifier of the to-be-checked facility is searched through an electronic identifier reader in the location area; and 5 when the electronic identifier of the to-be-checked facility is read, the coordinate of the mobile terminal is taken as the coordinate of the to-be-checked facility. According to the invention, a device can be quickly identifiedand accurately positioned; and the positioning accuracy reaches the decimeter level, which is much higher than the positioning accuracy of 2 to 3m of a common GPS system.
