An intelligent emergency signal transmission system using a mobile phone and a method thereof are disclosed. According to the intelligent emergency signal transmission system using a mobile phone and the method thereof, even though the user does not separately perform a key operation, the information indicating that the user is in the emergency situation can be transmitted to the mobile phone of the third party by determining whether a pre-registered voice is input. In addition, a call connection with mobile phones to a plurality of third parties registered with the mobile phone of the user can be automatically performed to transmit the emergency signals. Therefore, the third parties can rapidly recognize the emergency situation of the user. In addition, the help request signal can be rapidly transmitted to the third party positioned near the user who is in the emergency situation so that the emergency situation can be effectively overcome.

Collision probability calculation apparatus for vehicle and collision avoidance system using the same

A collision probability calculation apparatus capable of accurately calculating a collision probability that one's own vehicle will collide with an object around the own vehicle (referred to as a nearby object). In the apparatus, a position of the nearby object and a traveling speed and a traveling direction of the own vehicle are acquired. A collision probability map is generated on the basis of the traveling speed and traveling direction of the own vehicle. A width of a traveling lane of the own vehicle is acquired and the map is corrected in response to the width of the traveling lane. Thereafter, a collision probability associated with the position of the nearby object is corrected in response to the position of the nearby object. The corrected collision probability is outputted as a more accurate collision probability that the own vehicle will collide with the nearby object.

Method of generating accurate estimates of azimuth and elevation angles of a target for a phased-phased array rotating radar

A method and apparatus for generating accurate estimates of a radar target's azimuth and elevation angles for a phased-phased array rotating radar. Scan modulated coherently integrated (SMCI) monopulse curves are generated from a measured one-way transmit antenna pattern and three receive antenna patterns. The SMCI monopulse curves are calculated in advance for the expected beam steers. To utilize the SMCI monopulse curves, two-way Sum, Delta-Azimuth and Delta-Elevation target returns are coherently integrated, the target's monopulse ratios calculated, and the SMCI monopulse curves or polynomials used to calculate the target's U-offset and V-offset sine-space angles, which are added to the radar's beam steer to get an improved estimate of the target's sine-space angular position denoted as Utgt and Vtgt. A coordinate system transformation transforms Utgt and Vtgt to azimuth and elevation angles in a non-rotating coordinate system.

Continuously variable transmission

A rotational speed of an input side disk is detected by an input side rotation sensor, and a rotational speed of an output side disk is detected by an output side rotation sensor, respectively. Based on detected values of the two sensors, a transmission ratio of a toroidal type continuously variable transmission is calculated. Further, a rotational speed of the output shaft is calculated from the transmission ratio and a gear ratio of a planetary gear type transmission. In a state in which the select lever selects no-running condition, the transmission ratio of the toroidal type continuously variable transmission is controlled such that the rotational speed of the output shaft becomes null or at an extremely low speed even when the running state is selected at the instance. Further, a position of a control valve apparatus under the state is stored to a controller.

Method for initialization of per tone frequency domain equalizer (FEQ) through noise reduction for multi-tone based modems

An improved per-tone FEQ method with a noise reduction technique using periodic training pilot tones increases the throughput for long-reached modems. This method can reduce the noise effects in estimating FEQ equalizer coefficients. Each per-tone FEQ can be estimated by using the periodic training signals and an averaging technique to remove noise from each sub-channel (EQN. VI). After solving the system equations (EQN. IV), per-tone equalization coefficients of the FEQ equalizer for each group can be combined to obtain the optimized results in the form of the Toeplitz matrix (EQN. V). Each element within the Toeplitz matrix can be derived from the averaging technique used to remove noise from each sub-channel (EQN. VI). To demodulate a signal with the Toeplitz matrix, an inverse of every element in a row of the Toeplitz matrix is taken and multiplied by the sending signal which creates an N Log N matrix.

Centralized parking payment and monitoring system usinggeo location enabled devices

The present invention describes the system of centralized parking payment and monitoring, which uses geo-location enabled devices such as iPhone, android, RIM devices, mobile phones, pagers and wireless mobile computers.Using such system person can get a parking receipt; do payment of parking in the paid parking area directly from his geo-location enabled devices without any intervention of any attendant.Simultaneously, police or parking manager can also check the virtual parking receipt of the vehicle in the centralized parking system using Geo-location enable mobile device. The big differences between this new solution is compared to existing solution are (1)All the current solutions are identifying a particular parking spot instead of looking at holistic view of parking on a whole street or an unmanned parking area. Geo-location devices have 5-25 meters inaccuracy in identifying a position i.e. 1-5 parking spots inaccuracy. As a result, geo-location device cannot locate a particular parking spot. Thereby no public parking solution exists based on the geo-location based devices alone. In our solution, we re-engineered the business problem and instead of looking at a particular parking spot, the new process is dependent of parking of particular section of street or an unmanned parking lot—which we refer to ‘Parking Area’. The characteristic of Parking Area is that pricing and business apply to Parking Area as a whole unit. We are able to provide solution just based on geo-location based devices by combining concept of Parking Area with design of with parking application along with enforcement application. Parking Area will be divided in three level hierarchy Admin1, Admin2& Admin3. (2)This solution does not need any new devices to be installed or parking spots to be marked and entered in the parking application. It uses geo-location enabled devices to identify the location of the parking place.

Method and system for calculating a local time for a user equipment in an intelligent network

A method of calculating local time, in an intelligent network, of a subscriber's User Equipment (UE), determines whether a call originates or terminates with the UE, the UTC offset and DST observance indicator for the (G)MSC signaling the intelligent network, and a determination is of whether the UE is in a Problem Area cell site. If the UE is in a Problem Area cell site, the received time and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) Offset is corrected. A Cell Global Identity (CGI) is used to lookup the UTC Offset and a Daylight Saving Time (DST) observance indicator for the Cell Site. For calls terminating with the UE, if the UE is not in a Problem Area cell site, the VLR serving the UE is used to lookup the UTC offset and DST observance indicator for the subscriber. A time zone delta is applied to the call time of day and the UTC Offset and if DST is in effect, and there is a difference of DST between an MSC serving the UE and the location associated with the UE, a DST delta is applied to call time of day.

There are provided a shake detection device of an imaging device, a shake correction device, an imaging device, and a shake detection method which are capable of performing high-accurate shake detection and shake correction. A shake detection device subtracts a reference value from a sensor output of a gyro sensor, and extracts a low frequency component and a high frequency component from a sensor output after the reference value subtraction by using an LPF and a BPF. A first determination unit determines whether or not the imaging device is in a fixed-point imaging state based on the LPF output and the BPF output. In a case where it is determined that the imaging device is in the fixed-point imaging state, a reference value shift amount calculation unit calculates a shift amount (reference value shift amount) for the reference value based on the LPF output for a period during which the determination is performed. A subtraction unit corrects the reference value by subtracting the reference value shift amount from the sensor output after the reference value subtraction. An HPF removes a low frequency noise from the sensor output after the correction of the reference value shift amount. High-accurate shake is detected.
