Abstract

The embodiment of the invention discloses an OBU (On Board Unit) and a vehicle positioning system based on BeiDou differential positioning. The OBU comprises a BeiDou positioning module, a first antenna, a master control module, a 5.8GHz DSRC (Dedicated Short Range Communications) module and a second antenna, wherein the BeiDou positioning module is connected with the first antenna for obtaining original BeiDou positioning data according to a preset period and sending the original BeiDou positioning data to the master control module; the master control module is used for sending the original BeiDou positioning data obtained by the BeiDou positioning module to any one RSU (Road Side Unit) on the basis of the 5.8GHz DSRC module after a confirmation result shows that the OBU is awakened by any one RSU; and the 5.8GHz DSRC module is connected with the second antenna for obtaining the accurate positioning data of the OBU. By use of the embodiment of the invention, the problem in the prior art that a vehicle can not be accurately positioned in a billing process due to overhigh power consumption is solved.
