The method for recommending the equipment to the virtual characters comprises the steps that fighting data of the virtual characters are obtained, and the fighting data of the virtual characters indicate an equipment set, configured in fighting, of the virtual characters; the fighting data of the virtual characters are subjected to feature extraction, and thus to-be-learned initial features are obtained; the initial features are learned from shallow to deep through a hidden layer in a neutral network, and thus hidden layer features are obtained; and equipment labels are predicted according to the hidden layer features, and the equipment capable of being added into the equipment set in fighting is recommended to the virtual characters through the predicted equipment labels. By adopting the method and device for recommending the equipment to the virtual characters and thecomputer equipment, the problem of insufficient flexibility of recommending the equipment to the virtual characters in the prior art is solved.
