Abstract

The invention discloses an infrared and visible light image fusion method based on improved FPDE and PCA. The infrared and visible light image fusion method comprises the following main steps of 1) decomposing the infrared and visible light images by using an improved FPDE method; 2) fusing the low-frequency components by using guided filtering, 3) fusing the high-frequency components by using animproved PCA method, and 4) reconstructing by using linear combination to obtain a final fused image. According to the image fusion method based on the PCA technology, the block effect of the fusion image is avoided, and the edge reservation and the smoothness of the fusion image can be better balanced.
