Abstract

The invention provides a lubricating oil composition used for a transmission. The lubricating oil composition has low viscosity, excellent oil consumption saving performance and excellent abrasion resistance and galling resistance of a sliding portion to an aluminum-based alloy. The lubricating oil composition used for the transmission is characterized in that in (A) lubricating base oil having kinematic viscosity of 1.5-4.5 mm<2> / s at 100 DEG C, based on a total amount of the composition, the composition comprises the following components: (B) 50-250 ppm, by mass based on a boron amount, of aboron-containing ashless dispersing agent; (C) 50-500 ppm, by mass based on a metal amount, of at least one or more metal-based cleaning agents selected from the group consisting of alkali metal sulfonates, alkali metal salicylates, alkaline earth metal sulfonates, and alkaline earth metal salicylates; and (D) 100-600 ppm, by mass based on a phosphorus amount, of a phosphorus compound.
