Embodiment approach 1

[0032] That is, if figure 2 and image 3 As exemplified in , the electrode assembly according to the present invention has the following structure: the separator 3 is disposed between electrodes having different polarities from each other, and the electrodes and the separator 3 are repeatedly laminated (that is, in image 3 In , when the lowermost electrode is the negative electrode in which the negative electrode slurry 1b is applied to the negative electrode collector 1a, the separator 3 is laminated on the negative electrode, and the positive electrode in which the positive electrode slurry 2b is applied to the positive electrode collector 2a is laminated on the separator 3), and the outermost electrode arranged at the outermost layer is provided with a protective layer 10. For reference, although the image 3 exemplifies an electrode in which the protective layer 10 is provided only at the uppermost layer, but the protective layer 10 may be provided at the lowermost lay...

Embodiment approach 2

[0038] In addition, the present invention provides a method of manufacturing the above-mentioned electrode assembly.

[0039]The method of manufacturing an electrode assembly according to the present invention includes the steps of applying a slurry 1b to one surface of a current collector 1a and laminating a protective layer 10 on the other surface to manufacture the outermost electrode, allowing the outermost electrode to penetrate A step of thereby rolling the outermost electrode by passing between a pair of rolling rollers 40 and a step of laminating the rolled outermost electrode so as to be at the uppermost layer or the lowermost layer of the electrode assembly.

[0040] Here, the slurry 1b is prepared by mixing a solution including a binder in a solvent with an active material to have a viscosity suitable for coating or coating. In addition, in the rolling roller 4, suitable pressure and heat can be applied to reduce the thickness of the electrode so as to increase the ...

Abstract

The present invention relates to an electrode assembly in which a plurality of electrodes are stacked and separators are inserted between neighboring electrodes, wherein the outermost electrode placedon the outermost layer of the electrode assembly is stacked such that a slurry is coated on one side surface of a current collector, a protective layer is bonded to the other side surface, and the slurry comes in contact with the separators. In addition, a method for manufacturing the electrode assembly comprises the steps of: forming the outermost electrode by coating a slurry on one side surface of a current collector and stacking a protective layer on the other side surface; passing the outermost electrode between a pair of rolling rollers so as to roll the same; and stacking the rolled outermost electrode so as to be positioned on the top layer or the bottom layer of the electrode assembly.

Description

technical field [0001] This application claims the benefit of priority from Korean Patent Application No. 10-2017-0156193 filed on November 22, 2017, the entire contents of which are hereby incorporated by reference. [0002] The present invention relates to an electrode, an electrode assembly manufactured by laminating electrodes, and a method of manufacturing the same, and more particularly, to an electrode capable of preventing curling due to rolling at the time of manufacturing and when an external impact occurs (in particular, when a pocket occurs). An electrode, an electrode assembly, and a method of manufacturing the same that reduce the possibility of a short circuit when penetrating damage occurs. Background technique [0003] Generally, batteries that store electrical energy can be classified into primary batteries and secondary batteries. This primary battery is a disposable, consumable battery. On the other hand, such a secondary battery is a rechargeable batte...
