The invention relates to a connection element for integration into a fibrous fabric mat arrangement, for producing a fibre-reinforced plastic component, comprising a disk having an outer edge region which defines an inner connection region, the outer edge region (21) being provided with reinforcing fibres which extend outward in the form of projecting fibrous threads (3) or bundles (31) of fibrousthreads.
