Abstract

The invention discloses a die pressing facility and method for forming optical lenses. In one implementing manner, the die pressing facility comprises a preheating module, a forming module and a cooling module, wherein the preheating module circularly receives and preheats a plurality of prefabricated pieces for forming the optical lenses; the forming module is provided with a single machining station and continuously receives the multiple preheated prefabricated pieces from the preheating module, and the multiple prefabricated pieces are formed into the optical lenses in the single machiningstation; and the cooling module circularly receives the optical lenses from the forming module and cools and outputs the optical lenses. By adoption of the scheme, single-station forming can be achieved only through usage of one formal die, and compared with the situation that traditionally, N formal dies are needed for N stations, the die cost can be obviously reduced, and the product manufacturing period can be greatly shortened.
