Abstract

The sodium-based double ion battery comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a diaphragm and electrolyte solution between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The negative electrode comprises a negative electrode active material for reversibly accommodating cations. The negative electrode active material is a two-dimensional material. The cations are sodium ions, and the electrolyte solution is solution containing sodium ions. The sodium-based double-ion battery provided by the invention uses a two-dimensional material as a negative electrode active material. The two-dimensional material provides a loosely stacked frame of which the distance between layers is far larger than the ion diameter of the sodium ions. The large open channels between layers provide potential sites for the intercalation and de-intercalation of alkali metals, and have metal properties conducive to the transfer of charges. Therefore, the sodium-based double ion battery provided by the invention has good specific capacity, energy density, power density and cycle life.
