[0070] The FIB storage structure and data processing method of the content router of the present invention are tested for software deployment on a computer configured with Intel Xeon E5-1650 v2 3.50 GHz and DDR3 24GB SDRAM. Experimental results show that under the condition that the false positive probability is 1%, the on-chip storage consumption of the FIB storage structure is 58.258MB, which can be deployed on the high-speed memory SRAM. Under the condition of supporting the LNPM mechanism, the actual throughput of the FIB storage structure is 11.64 million data packets per second, which can meet the current Internet requirements for fast processing of data packets. This shows that the FIB storage structure and data processing method of the content router designed in the present invention are suitable for the current memory hardware level, can effectively support the LNPM mechanism, and improve the retrieval speed of name data.

Abstract

The invention discloses a content router FIB storage structure. The FIB storage structure comprises an on-chip storage unit and an off-chip storage unit. The on-chip storage unit uses a high-speed memory to deploy a plurality of index structures corresponding to different numbers of name prefix components so as to realize name data quick indexing based on a longest name prefix matching mechanism;and the off-chip storage unit uses a large-capacity low-speed memory to deploy a plurality of FIB storage pools corresponding to the index structure so as to store actual forwarding information. The on-chip index structure is realized based on a neural network, and the storage efficiency is improved by learning the distribution condition of index contents in the memory. For misjudgment possibly generated by an on-chip index structure, a link address method is used for processing conflicts in an off-chip FIB storage pool, namely data mapped to the same address is connected in a link table mode.The structure of the invention is suitable for the current memory hardware level, can effectively support the longest name prefix matching mechanism, and improves the retrieval speed of name data.
