Abstract

The invention provides a method for forwarding data. The method is applied to access layer switching equipment. In this method, first access layer switching equipment receives the first data packet through a target second port, wherein the first data packet carries a first identifier used for indicating second access layer switching equipment; wherein the second access layer switching equipment isconnected with a destination server of the first data packet; therefore, the first access layer switching equipment can determine a target first port connected with the second access layer switchingdevice through the core layer switching device according to the first identifier, furthermore, the first data packet can be sent to the second access layer switching equipment through the target firstport via the core layer switching equipment, so that the port for sending the first data packet does not need to be determined based on the indication of the centralized controller, and the data forwarding performance of the access layer switching equipment can be improved.
