Abstract

The invention discloses application of andrographolidume to preparation of a health care product or medicine for preventing or/and treating muscle injury. Experiments prove that the andrographolidumehas the efficacy of overcoming the muscle injury such as muscle resistance and muscle strength reduction caused by hyperlipidemia; the muscle injury caused by the treatment by statins medicine, particularly muscle order action caused by untoward reaction such as rhabdomyolysis in the treatment process of hyperlipidemia diseases can be avoided, and the effects of enhancing the muscle resistance andinstant holding strength and protecting the muscle are achieved; and in addition, the andrographolidume also has the effects of regulating the blood lipid, reducing cholesterol, triglyceride and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol in the blood serum, increasing high-density lipoprotein cholesterol, reducing the cholesterol content in the cells, inhibiting the accumulation of the cholesterol between smooth muscle cell collagen and elastic fibers, preventing smooth muscle cell proliferation, and resisting atherosclerosis.
