The present invention relates to a pressure vessel monitoring system and a monitoring method thereof. The system includes a fiber grating sensing device, a data collection device, a remote server, andan alarm device which are connected in sequence. The fiber grating sensing device is installed in a pressure vessel, and detects temperature and pressure of the pressure vessel to generate detectionresults, the results are sent to the data collection device and summarized, then the results are sent to the remote server for analysis to obtain an analysis result, and when the analysis result meetspreset alarm conditions, an alarm command is sent to the alarm device to give an alarm. No electrical interference is caused during detection. The data collection device improves the data transmission efficiency. The remote server implements remote data processing. When the analysis result meets the preset alarm condition, the alarm command is sent to the alarm device to alert the operator to deal with the abnormal situation in time. The operator can remotely receive data and alarm information to avoid the pressure vessel itself or the environment from adversely affecting the operator.
