Each rocker arm assembly 106 includes two rocker arms, an outer arm 103A and an inner arm 103B, and a cam follower 110 . The valve train 100 is applicable to an internal combustion engine of the type having a combustion chamber, movable valves having seats formed in the combustion chamber, and a camshaft. Rocker arm assembly 106 may be mounted on pivot 140 in such an internal combustion engine in a configuration in which a cam (not shown) on the camshaft engages cam follower 110 as the camshaft rotates. Action of the cam on cam follower 110 operates to actuate inner arm 103B. If the outer arm 103A is also actuated, the movable valve can be opened and closed.
