Embodiment Construction

[0067] The purpose addressed by the embodiments herein is how to improve performance in a wireless communication system.

[0068] Thus, as described above, according to embodiments herein, a way of improving performance in a wireless communication system is provided.

[0069] Some embodiments herein relate to heterogeneous OFDMA methods to more efficiently utilize the radio spectrum in scenarios where the eNB only has data to be allocated on a small portion of the radio spectrum. A scenario where an eNB is collocated with a Wi-Fi AP supporting the new IEEE amendment 802.11ax can be considered. However, there is no need to collocate the eNB and AP, and the embodiments disclosed herein can be used in most scenarios, but the signaling and coordination are simplified in collocated scenarios.

[0070] According to some embodiments disclosed herein, a portion of the unallocated radio spectrum in the LAA signal is used to transmit Wi-Fi OFDMA allocation data using the new IEEE 802.1...

Abstract

A wireless communications system (110) and a method for frequency multiplexing a first (LAA) OFDMA transmission and a second (Wi-Fi) OFDMA transmission on a shared radio channel spanning at least partly a common bandwidth. The system determines an unallocated frequency band available beside a first frequency band intended for a first transmission and sends a sharing request comprising informationabout the unallocated band. The system decides to use the unallocated band in a second frequency band in the shared channel. The system sends a legacy preamble and a first part of a Wi-Fi preamble spanning the shared channel. The first transmission is sent in the first band such that an end time point of the first part of the Wi-Fi preamble coincides with a start time point of the first transmission. Further, the system sends a second part of the Wi-Fi preamble and the second transmission in the second band.

Description

technical field [0001] Embodiments herein relate generally to a wireless communication system, a first network node, a second network node and methods therein. In particular, embodiments relate to frequency multiplexing of a first OFDMA transmission and a second OFDMA transmission. Background technique [0002] A communication device such as a terminal is also referred to as eg user equipment (UE), mobile terminal, station (STA), wireless device, wireless terminal and / or mobile station. Terminals are capable of communicating wirelessly in a wireless communication network such as a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) or a cellular communication network (sometimes also referred to as a cellular radio system or cellular network). Communication may be performed between two terminals, between a terminal and a conventional telephone and / or between a terminal and a server, eg via an access network and possibly one or more core networks comprised within the wireless communication ne...
