Abstract
The invention is directed to a composition comprising an epoxy-based curable adhesive comprising at least one an epoxy resin modified acrylonitrile-butadiene copolymer and at least one thermoplastic elastomer, wherein the at least one thermoplastic elastomer is present in the curable adhesive as a penetrating polymer network. The invention is also directed to an expandable article composed of thecomposition, to a reinforcing element comprising a support and an expandable article, to a method for reinforcing cavities of structural components, and to use of the composition as a shape memory material.
