The variable frequency air conditioner control method comprises the following steps that (1) a load calculation function atwhich the indoor load changes along with indoor temperature and humidity is obtained; (2) the indoor load corresponding to each temperature and humidity combination in a temperature and humidity parameter library is calculated according to the load calculation function obtained in the step (1); (3) the air conditioner energy consumption corresponding to each temperature and humidity combination is calculated according to the temperature and humidity combination in the temperature and humidity parameter library and the indoor load corresponding to the temperature and humidity combination through a pre-established relation model between the indoor load and the air conditioner operating state; and (4) according to the air conditioner energy consumption corresponding to the temperature and humidity combination in the temperature and humidity parameter library and the indoor comfort degree, the set temperature and humidity combination is determined by using a temperature and humidity setting function, and an air conditioner temperature and humidity control module controls the indoor temperature and humidity to be the set temperature and humidity combination. Thus, the temperature and humidity combination is determined through the temperature and humidity setting function, the indoor comfort degree is met, meanwhile, the relatively low energy consumption is achieved, and the comfortdegree and the energy consumption are both considered at the same time.
