Abstract

Provided are an object identification device, an object identification method and a control program that improve object identification accuracy. A data conversion processing unit (12) projects, from among first data unit groups, a second group, which includes a plurality of reflection point data units in which reflection points corresponding to each reflection point data unit belong to a solid object, onto a horizontal plane of a world coordinate system, and converts same into a third group, which includes a plurality of projection point data units. A clustering processing unit (13) clusters the plurality of projection point data units of the third group into a plurality of clusters on the basis of the position in the horizontal plane. A space-of-interest setting unit (14) sets a space-of-interest for each cluster using the plurality of reflection point data units corresponding to the plurality of projection point data units included in each cluster.
