The vehicle lifting system comprises a controller and a lifter lifting appliance, wherein the controller is used for obtaining vehicle typeinformation of a transferred vehicle, searching for a corresponding limiter number according to the vehicle type information and sending a control instruction and the limiter number to the lifter lifting appliance; the vehicle lifting system can be compatible with vehicle receiving of flexible production lines of multiple vehicle types, and the applicability of the vehicle lifting system is improved; the lifter lifting appliance is used for transporting the transferred vehicle to the position of a target limiter corresponding to the limiter number according to the control instruction and activating a feedback signal to the controller; the controller is further used for judging whether a lifting appliance descending mechanism is met or not when receiving the feedback signal, and if yes, adescending instruction is sent to the lifter lifting appliance; and the lifter lifting appliance is further used for conducting descending operation on the transferred vehicle according to the descending instruction, the transferred vehicle is matched based on multiple deformation and switching devices, and therefore lifting of vehicles of various vehicle types is met, the manufacturing cost is low, and compatible production of the vehicles is achieved.
