Abstract

The rivet nut comprises a nut body, and a through hole is formed in the area corresponding to a center shaft of the nut body; the nut body comprises a limiting portion, a deformation portion and a fixing portion, the limiting portion, the deformation portion and the fixing portion are sequentially connected, and the outer wall of the limiting portion protrudes out of the outer wall of the deformation portion; and the deformation portion and the fixing portion are both elliptical cylinders, the through hole sequentially penetrates through the limiting portion, the deformation portion and the fixing portion, the diameter ratio of the long axis and the short axis of the cross section of the deformation portion is 10:9, and the diameter ratio of the long axis and the short axis of the cross section of the fixing portion is also 10:9. According to the rivet nut, the manufacturability that the rivet nut is directly formed through cold heading is ensured through the ratio of the long axis to the short axis, and the tensile force which is the same as that of a circular rivet nut can be used during riveting deformation; and a hole with the ratio of the long axis to the short axis being 10:9 is formed in a riveting plate correspondingly, and the process is the same as a process of directly forming a circular hole.
