Abstract

The invention discloses a broadband power line carrier communication system and method based on OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technology, and the system modulates service information of distribution network terminal equipment into a high-frequency digital signal flow, converts the high-frequency digital signal flow into a low-rate multi-path parallel data flow through serial-parallel conversion, converts the low-rate multi-path parallel data flow into a time domain signal through Fourier transform. Multiple paths of parallel data are stringed into a sequence through parallel-to-serial conversion, digital-to-analog conversion serves as a transmitting signal to be loaded to a power line, information transmission is conducted through the power line, a receiving terminal converts the information back to original data through reverse action and sends the original data to a master control platform, and safe and rapid transmission of service related information is completed. According to the system, through composition design of a carrier head end and a carrier terminal, information transmission is carried out by taking a power line as a transmission medium; the communication method is completed on the basis of the communication system, information transmission can be carried out through the power line, and the problem that a power grid has many communication breakpoints is effectively solved.
