Problems solved by technology

This packaging method is inefficient, and as the thickness of the glass substrate gradually decreases, some ultra-thin glass substrates become softer, and the amount of shaking during the transmission process is large, easily damaged, and it is difficult to stand stably and straightly on the A-type on the shelf
In addition, if the packaging is in roll form, using spacer paper as a protective medium will easily contaminate the glass substrate

Abstract

The invention relates to a glass substrate packaging device and method. The glass substrate packaging device comprises a film covering mechanism, a feeding conveying mechanism, a discharging conveyingmechanism and a control mechanism, wherein the film covering mechanism comprises a film covering roller and a protective film arranged around the film covering roller, and the film covering roller isused for rotating during movement of a glass substrate in a tangential direction so as to attach the protective film to the glass substrate; the feeding conveying mechanism is used for conveying theglass substrate to be covered with the film to the film covering mechanism; the discharging conveying mechanism is used for forwards conveying the glass substrate covered with the film from the film covering mechanism; and the control mechanism is used for controlling the film covering mechanism, the feeding conveying mechanism and the discharging conveying mechanism to move, and the linear speedof the film covering roller is the same as the conveying speed of the glass substrate. The linear speed of the outer circle of the film covering roller is matched with the speed of the feeding conveying mechanism conveying the glass substrate to the film covering roller for film covering, so that stable proceeding of the film covering process is ensured, and scratches of the glass substrate causedby sliding friction between the protective film and the glass substrate are avoided.

Description

technical field [0001] The present disclosure relates to the field of glass substrate production and manufacturing, and in particular, to a glass substrate packaging device and method. Background technique [0002] With the increasing demand for ultra-thin and lightweight liquid crystal panels in the market, panel manufacturers require thinner glass substrates for upstream liquid crystal glass substrate manufacturers. In the production process of glass substrates, an important item is the packaging of glass substrates. [0003] In the related technology, when the traditional glass substrate is packaged, the A-frame oblique vertical packaging method is used. By setting the production cycle, the glass substrate grabbing robot places the glass substrate on the A-frame, and then the paper loading robot places the glass substrate on the A-frame. Spacers are placed between the glass substrates for protection. This packaging method is inefficient, and as the thickness of the glass...
